Hummingbird Place Peer Respite

Hummingbird Place Peer Respite is a ?free led safe safe space that offers connection and breathing room to those in need of a healing space and support with their path towards wellness. This respite space operates under the wellness and recovery model and primarily serves individuals that may be in a pre-contemplative stage or may need help using alternative support to urgent/emergent care. Day services are currently offered, and overnight services are being piloted in late July 2015.

Services include:
  • Peer led wellness activities: art, gardening, recreation, WRAP groups
  • Space to relax and recover
  • Referrals to other resources

Adults living in San Francisco aged 18 and over are eligible. Sobriety not required, but respect of others is required.

Program Details

Eligibility:

Must be referred by ICM (intensive case management) or FSP (full service provider).

Services are for:
-Individuals in pre-contemplative stage
-Individuals with anxiety
-Individuals relying on hospital resources for safe spaces
-Individuals must have a place to go after respite
-People must have a place to live at the end of the day
