Child Protective Services of San Francisco

CPS dispatches social workers to assess reported concerns about San Francisco children at risk for abuse, neglect, or exploitation by their families or guardians. If possible, workers will develop a family preservation and support plan to address problems or risks while maintaining family unity, but may remove children from their homes to be placed in relative or foster care if necessary.

Phone line is answered 24-hours.

In cases where children are in emotional crisis in need of immediate intervention, where distress may be related to family violence, contact Comprehensive Child Crisis (415-970-3800).
